The German company ARLA Maschinentechnik GmbH offers machine tool products of high accuracy like:
- Slide & Table Units (x, x-y)
- Spindle Units
- Multi-Axis Systems (x-y-z)
- Concentric Workholidng Systems
- Levers (for mechanical shifts)
ARLA® Machining Units (spindle units including x-/x-y slide units) work together with ARLA® Clamping Devices (workholding systems) and therefore become the principal components of ARLA's unique endworking concept. Endworking Units and also complete CNC controlled ARLA® Endworking Machines can be used for single-sided and also double-sided endworking of workpieces. Typical examples are:
- Machining of pipes, tubes, shafts, bars, rods etc. (facing, chamfering, planing, threading, deburring, turning, central boring, drilling, complex contour machining etc.)
- Piston rods
- Crankshafts and camshafts; complex winded or cranked pipes
Due to the precise alignment of all ARLA components, the endworking solution is a unique technical concept to realize an accurate and quick productive machinery (either as a single unit or as a CNC machine with two simultaneous machining operations at both ends of the workpiece).
ARLA machine products could be also used to build up test rigs (for example for the automotive industry).

There is a further division at ARLA which is strong in professional engineering services including the sale and support of well-known simulation software packages (like SimulationX and ARMD).
